Ayana Blasse
I am her. The brown skin girl from New York with Caribbean roots, rhythm in my spirit, softness in my heart, and faith deep in my bones. Raised between cultures, experiences, heartbreak, and healing, storytelling became the place where I learned how to survive and eventually how to become. From a young age, I wrestled with rejection, low self esteem, depression, abandonment, and the painful feeling of not truly knowing where I belonged. I spent years shrinking myself, people pleasing, questioning my worth, and trying to fit into spaces that were never designed for who God created me to be. For a long time, I was simply existing, carrying silent battles while trying to appear strong on the outside.
But God met me in the middle of my brokenness.
Through prayer, scripture, motherhood, healing, and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, I began to see myself differently. God transformed the way I thought, healed parts of me I thought would stay broken forever, and showed me that my pain was never the end of my story. He taught me that confidence rooted in Him looks different. It is not loud arrogance. It is knowing who you are without apologizing for it. He showed me that my honesty, my voice, my creativity, and even the parts of myself I was criticized for were intentional all along. My healing journey strengthened my faith and completely changed the direction of my life.
Today, I write for the girls and women who are still trying to find themselves. The quiet girls. The misunderstood girls. The teen trying to hear God’s voice in a loud world. The woman rebuilding herself after heartbreak. The mother trying to break generational cycles while raising children with love and intention. My books, journals, blogs, and creative projects are all rooted in faith, healing, identity, boundaries, emotional growth, and becoming the person God created us to be. Whether I am writing encouragement for parents, wisdom for teen girls, reflections on healing, or stories about overcoming pain, my goal is always the same: to remind people that God still restores, heals, calls, and transforms lives.
This platform is more than content to me. It is a safe place. A ministry. A conversation. A reminder that no matter what you have gone through, you are not forgotten and you are not too broken for God to use. Your voice matters. Your healing matters. Your story matters. God created you with purpose and intention, and you do not have to shrink yourself to fit into places that were never assigned to you.
You are more than what hurt you. You are more than your past. Do not sell yourself short because you are more than a conqueror.
